Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions families ask most about non-medical home care with Olivia Home Care Services.

Common Questions

What is non-medical home care?

Non-medical home care provides help with daily living — personal care, companionship, meal preparation, mobility assistance, medication reminders, and light housekeeping — so clients stay safe and independent at home. It does not include skilled nursing or medical treatment.

Which areas do you serve?

We serve Lancaster, York, Berks, and Chester counties in Pennsylvania. Availability in some areas depends on current caregiver coverage, which we confirm before scheduling.

How do I get started?

Call 717-537-7110 or send us a message to schedule a free in-home consultation. We assess needs, discuss scheduling and payment, and match a caregiver to your family.

How are caregivers matched to clients?

We match caregivers based on location, schedule, care needs, and personal preferences, prioritizing caregivers already available near the client for dependable, consistent visits.

What payment options are available?

Olivia Home Care is a Pennsylvania Medicaid-approved provider, and we also accept private pay. Coverage depends on program eligibility, authorization, and active payer or MCO participation.

Do you administer medication?

No. Our caregivers provide non-medical medication reminders to help clients stay on schedule, but we do not administer medications.

Are evening, weekend, and overnight visits available?

Yes. We offer flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and overnight care, subject to confirmed caregiver availability in your area.
